Our Postpartum & Newborn Care Class (Baby 101) provides the practical tools, insight, and reassurance new parents and caregivers need during the early weeks after birth.
This class serves as your guide to postpartum recovery, emotional well-being, newborn care, and feeding – so you can begin parenthood feeling calm, informed, and supported.

What You’ll Learn

Postpartum Care- The postpartum period is both a physical and emotional transformation.
In this part of the course, we focus on:

• Physical Recovery: Learn how to navigate the recovery process after birth, manage sleep deprivation, and practice self-care.

• Emotional Well-Being: Discover the importance of emotional health, recognize signs of perinatal mood disorders, and know how to seek support when needed.

Newborn Care- Caring for a newborn brings both joy and challenges. In this segment, you’ll learn the essentials, including:

• Newborn Tests & Safe Sleep: What to expect during hospital screenings and how to establish safe sleep routines at home.

• Feeding Guidelines & Calming Techniques: Learn about newborn feeding patterns and gentle ways to soothe a fussy baby.

Newborn Feeding- This segment covers both breastfeeding and formula feeding, providing you with:

• Breastfeeding Benefits & Techniques: Understand the physiological benefits, nursing positions, and latching for comfort and success.

• Feeding Challenges & Solutions: Recognize signs your baby is getting enough milk, prevent common issues, and know where to find expert support.

• Pumping & Milk Storage: Learn about pumpingand safely store breast milk for times when direct breastfeeding isn’t possible – such as returning to work or shared feeding.
