Certified Childbirth Consultant-Florida

Sherrí Gladney, CD, PPD, MA

Birth & Postpartum Doula

Long before I knew what a doula was, I was committed to supporting new families. After my first was born, the challenges I faced fueled me into a career of compassion and support. Spending 15 years as a pediatric medical assistant, I support families from a place of EXPERIENCE. My heart is to help families transition from pregnancy to birth, and into the postpartum period on their terms. I wish that I could tell you I was clever enough to intentionally choose this amazing journey as a doula, but honestly, doula work chose me.

Juli Textor, BA

Birth/Postpartum Doula & Childbirth Educator

Juli’s passion for pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood began as a child.  Having generations of physicians and nurses in her family history, a love of children, and an innate calling to serve others, she graduated from the UCF College of Health and Public Affairs with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and pursued a career in Elementary Education. Early in her teaching career, Juli began taking midwifery classes in Gainesville, FL where she discovered the role of a doula. This sparked a love of supporting women in the postpartum period, which she did whenever possible outside of her full-time roles as teacher and Mommy. After personally going through two vastly different pregnancy, birth and postpartum experiences, she realizes the importance of having a consistent and non-judgmental support system in place for all phases of becoming a mother. Juli thrives on sharing her passion and knowledge with new moms, fostering a smooth transition for the entire family. Juli and her wife live in Orlando and have two children, ages 14 and 5.

Jamie Ortiz

Sleep Consultant & Lactation Educator

I was so deprived of sleep with our oldest that I became overwhelmed at all the information out there. I thought “there’s has to be a place where I can get evidenced based information in one spot” Once I started learning I would share with anyone

who would listen. After 4 more years and two children, I made it official by earning my certification through The Cradle Coach in Pediatric Sleep, Adoption & Fostered Sleep, and Newborn Care. My goal is to help parents not feel overwhelmed and support families from all walks of life with both breastfeeding and bottle fed babies. Sleep doesn’t look the

same for every baby or even every family. I love to serve the Spanish-speaking community as well.
