Juli Textor, BA

Doula Birth/Postpartum & Childbirth Educator

Juli’s passion for pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood began as a child.  Having generations of physicians and nurses in her family history, a love of children, and an innate calling to serve others, she graduated from the UCF College of Health and Public Affairs with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and pursued a career in Elementary Education.  Early in her teaching career, Juli began taking midwifery classes in Gainesville, FL where she discovered the role of a doula.  This sparked a love of supporting women in the postpartum period, which she did whenever possible outside of her full-time roles as teacher and Mommy.  After experiencing two vastly different pregnancy, birth and postpartum experiences, she realizes the importance of having a consistent and non-judgmental support system in place for all phases of becoming a mother.  Juli is excited to now dedicate herself full-time to sharing her passion and her knowledge with new moms, fostering a smooth transition for the entire family.  Juli and her wife live in Orlando and have two children, ages 14 and 5.

Shelby Tencza, BA

Doula Birth/Postpartum

Shelby started her journey in the maternal and reproductive health field as a high school student attending Pre-Med Day, where she spent the event fixated on the OB-GYN and the labor and delivery nurse. Her enduring passion for reproduction and birth led her to obtain her degree in Anthropology from Penn State University, where she also worked as a Research Assistant in a lab specializing in reproduction and evolution. Shelby is now a mother of two children, ages 2 and 1, and has personal experience in birth, postpartum, and extended breastfeeding. The births of her children inspired Shelby to support and to empower families in an informed, unbiased, nonjudgmental way through their birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding experiences. Shelby currently lives in Central Florida with her husband and children and is working towards her IBCLC.
