Having Kathy come to my home for breastfeeding support was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was 4 days since having my baby girl, my house was a wreck, I was raw, bruised, and exhausted. She treated me with so much gentle kindness and helped me and my husband figure out nursing. I never felt judged for not knowing what to do and I truly believe that she is the reason I was able to stick with nursing. I don’t think I would have made it without her! The nurses in the hospital tried to help, but really didn’t provide anything helpful. Kathy made things personalized for us and that was amazing. My baby is now 4 months old and is thriving and doing so well. If you are on the edge or don’t know if you need a lactation consultant let this be your sign to go for it! I had a long, difficult labor with my firstborn.
I felt scared and powerless. I wish I had hired a birth doula then, because my experience couldn’t have been better with my second. Kathy introduced me to two doulas and I liked them both so much I had trouble selecting one.
Jessica was my doula and then I also chatted with Beryl. Because of what I learned after my first birth and with their guidance I switched doctors and hospital, avoided an induction and had a very quick, much easier labor, during which I felt supported, respected and in control.
Doctors and nurses may not take the time to really listen to you, explain all of your options, make you feel like you actually have a choice. I wish everyone had access to a doula and would definitely recommend Jessica.

This company is absolutely amazing. They provide compassionate, loving, and nurturing care to the entire family. The owner is an incredible leader in her community for women's health. I feel so blessed to have had her and her team be a part of our birthing experience and in our post partum doula care. We were able to sleep soundly at night when we came home with baby knowing our nurturing doula was giving our baby girl 1-on-1 attention and care. Kathy is AMAZING. She is very knowledgeable and super willing to help. I reached out to her when I had concerns about my baby’s latch when she was 2 weeks old and she was able to help us. I then reached out to her 4 months later when I was struggling with maintaining my milk production and she immediately gave me guidance and direction on ways to improve my production. I reached out to Childbirth Concierge services to acquire a doula. You first interact with Kathy who is so helpful, intuitive, and personable. She makes you feel so seen and so comfortable right away. I cried with my husband after my initial meeting with her because I already felt so safe and cared for in ways I didn’t even know I needed. She then connected us with some different doulas. We went with the first doula who reached out, Devi. My husband and I fell in love with Devi right away. She is a doula because it is what she loves to do. She goes above and beyond and feels less like someone you hired and more like family. She has experienced so many different scenarios with her own births which gives her a lot of compassion, paired with experience. She makes you feel so honoured with what your own intuition and gut is telling you about your pregnancy and how you want to give birth. And often can help you understand why you feel how you feel. She will truly help you believe you know what is best for your baby. She is also great at seeing your partner and helping them feel valued and involved. I truly can’t imagine going through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum without her. My husband and I have told so many of our pregnant friends it was maybe the best investment we made towards our journey. Devi did an amazing job. Our hospital dropped the ball on many things and we were so grateful to have an extra set of hands, knowledgeable support, and advocate when we needed one. Her peaceful and calm demeanor brought me so much comfort before, during, and after childbirth. I cannot recommend enough.

This is a review for both Kathy at Childbirth Concierge and Jessica, the doula that helped me with my delivery. Let me start with the review of Childbirth Concierge overall. I had a fantastic experience, Kathy was very responsive when I had questions about their services, classes and finally when I put in the wrong email and didn’t get a receipt, Kathy sent me one very promptly. What is more is when I had to withdraw from attending a parenting class due to an early induction, I let Jessica, my doula, know and by the time I messaged Kathy to try and cancel the class, she was already refunding me and wishing me luck! Such a positive experience!
Now onto Jessica. I hired her because she came highly recommended by family  friends that just had their baby in May. I’m so happy I did! This is my first baby, so despite doing research, I and my husband were very nervous about what to expect during the labor process. From the get go Jessica was very communicative, knowledgeable and punctual. I didn’t have many items on my birth plan, but I wanted to try and not have to push on my back, because it seemed counter intuitive and not very empowering. That means of course that I would have to not get the full epidural, and I wasn’t sure that I can tolerate the pain enough, but between my husband and Jessica providing confident and gentle guidance and hip squeezes(those are no joke), I was able to stay with the walking epidural and give birth in the position I wanted. As every other first time mom I had hoped to not get any epidural at all, but as many of us find out, it just doesn’t end up being worth it. At our first meeting I got the feeling that Jessica was very pro unmedicated births, which is good by me, but I was privately worried that if I changed my mind about getting an epidural, she might not be very supportive. Nothing could have been further from the truth. She was very encouraging and supportive, she helped empower me to stick to what I wanted and feel confident about my choices. Even though the attending dr wasn’t happy about my insistence on delivering on my knees, between Jessica, my husband and me getting the walking epidural and not the full one, I was able to stick to the plan and deliver on my preferred position after a pretty short pushing time. Overall, I felt like even though I had to get induced, I was never powerless during my labor and I had such a positive experience, in part thanks to Jessica and I am very grateful to her! Also she did bring some essential oils that helped a lot and took some pictures of the birth that we would have never had otherwise. Long review, but if you are a first time mom, I couldn’t recommend Jessica more! She’s seriously an Angel! I had mastitis that turned into an abscess. I had exhausted all of my other contacts on what to do and was extremely worried about what could happen if I didn’t get proper advice on what to do next. She answered all of my questions, urged me to get it taken care of at the ER and assured me she had seen cases as bad as mine before, but not to worry. She gave me advice on how to nurse after and took the time to explain how mastitis can even create an abscess, as I was confused on how it was all connected.
