Certified Childbirth Consultant (CCC)
Course Description
This newer program is designed for those who desire to work towards becoming a midwife or desire to work professionally with women throughout the childbearing year. Those who choose to finish this ‘Mini-Series’ will be designated as a Certified Childbirth Consultant (CCC) having been educated in our three perinatal courses, Doula, Childbirth Educator & Lactation Educator. These classes are now considered prerequisites for our midwifery programs and in most cases, are transferable to other midwifery schools. Our Partner Commonsense Childbirth Institute will issue student’s final lifetime Certification ($50 fee) when requirements are met.
The Childbirth Consultant is a new concept in perinatal education and are excited to offer you this pathway to empowering women to birth and parent with confidence and power. We believe this is an important step to becoming a midwife, however for some students this arena is where they may build and maintain their private childbirth practice. We believe that every woman should have access to a maternity care provider or educator of their choice and to the information needed to make informed decisions. Our goal is to develop competent, highly educated childbirth professionals and midwives who can provide this option – The JJ Way®.
Course Outcomes
At the end of the program students will hold combined certification as a doula, childbirth educator, and lactation educator, and will be capable of earning an income as an independent childbirth consultant.
